About me

Micael Silva

“Interser”

My name is Micael, I am a male Homo sapiens and I inhabit in the Mediterranean ecosystem of central Portugal. I am a father. An educator. An intuitive farmer. Neurodiverse with a high sensitivity spectrum. Passionate about sharing informal knowledge, self-taught and a tireless learner of natural cycles.

I grew up in a village with fruit trees for all seasons, five clean water springs and woods where I built bicycle paths with my friends. Today, the fruit trees are much less, the springs have dried up and the woods have been transformed in eucalyptus plantations. I studied Active Tourism and Nature Sports, which led me to discover other places and natural wonders, but also those in apparent degradation due to overuse or extraction. This led me to ask many questions and to a process of reorganization in my life, which will not end.

Seeking a place of personal and community resilience, I turned to approaches such as deep ecology, permaculture, biodynamic agriculture, natural agriculture, syntropic living, ecosystemic vision, eco-mythology, and grief cycles.

Natural Energy is the name that best represents my work, and today I live as a mission to raise awareness about the integrity of internal and external ecosystems, because I deeply believe that there is no separation between them.

The principles that guide my work

  1. 01

Working with the local ecosystem and biome

Each place is a unique expression of time, moment and spirit of that place. I start there — not from a manual.

  2. 02

    Creating from naturally energetic points

Working from the soil's needs, the plants' communication and the response of bio-intelligent processes.

  3. 03

    Unlearning human time

Bringing in the natural wisdom of metabolism, metamorphosis and succession.

  4. 04

    Regeneration as a relational process

Relearning to listen to the Earth's cycles from a place of participation; the path is not controlled, it is revealed.

  5. 05

    Small-scale work

One-on-one or in small groups, to foster ecological transformation woven into each person's or region's way of life.

Support

Every contribution is a seed

I'm involved in projects where people like me tirelessly plant, experiencing both growth and crop loss (rain, heat waves, animals searching for food). Planting in degraded soil is a process with its ups and downs, and this work thrives thanks to the support of those who walk alongside it. If you want to contribute—whatever the amount—you help the seeds grow and regenerate ecosystems where I travel and volunteer.
